What hardware and software will I need for a remote (video) appointment?

We generally use Microsoft Teams for remote consultations. It’s usually easier if you download the Teams app in advance – though you should still be able to access your appointment via a desktop computer with a web camera and microphone even without the app.

If you are unfamiliar with Teams, we strongly recommend you try it well in advance of your appointment.

You’ll receive more detailed instructions and a link for your consultation ahead of your appointment.

You should make sure you have good security and a stable internet connection.

If there are any problems during your video consultation, the doctor will telephone you instead to avoid disruption and delays. Please make sure to have your phone handy just in case (you should provide us with that telephone number when making your booking request).
