Because we do not receive NHS funding, we are continually trying to raise funds for the Centre. Making a contribution is important and finding funds for migraine research and treatment can be difficult as our annual running costs amount to over £350,000. We are extremely grateful to our patients and other supporters for their generous donations making up around a half of the running costs last year.
We occasionally conduct clinical trials and also participate in research, returning all income to the Centre, which is a registered medical charity. We receive donations from commercial organisations, trusts and other donors but these are very competitive and cannot always be relied upon. Despite the Centre’s best efforts there is still a considerable annual shortfall. Therefore we are always looking for generous people who are able to give regularly, giving us a dependable source of income.
